FANTASY IN CHILDREN'S LITERATURE AND ITS INFLUENCE ON CHILDREN'S THINKING

This article examines the role of fantasy in children’s literature and its impact on children’s thinking and imagination. Within the framework of Children's Literature, the study analyzes how fantasy elements contribute to cognitive development, creative thinking, and the formation of moral perceptions in children. It also highlights how fantasy narratives enhance problem-solving skills, abstract thinking, and emotional empathy. The works of J. K. Rowling and the fairy tales of Roald Dahl are used as key examples. The findings suggest that fantasy plays an important educational and developmental role in shaping children’s cognitive growth.

Schopenhauer and Eastern Teachings: Will and Suffering

In Arthur Schopenhauer's The World of Will, the concepts of will and imagination are interpreted as the main points of philosophy. Will is seen as the metaphysical essence of the world, and imagination as its appearance. Schopenhauer's philosophy, inspired by Eastern teachings, in particular Buddhism and Hinduism, creates a synthesis with Western metaphysics, emphasizing the irrational force of will, which leads to suffering in human life. He believes that freedom can be achieved through art, morality, and asceticism. This philosophy was revolutionary in its time, influencing Nietzsche, Freud, and existentialism.
